dog + human launched in June 2021 as an indie project dedicated to every dog lover on the planet. The magazine explores life with four-legged companions through art, photography, personal stories, and interviews, treating the bond between dogs and people not as a niche interest but as one of the most enduring and meaningful relationships in human experience.
Each issue is a softcover collection of stories revolving around love and gratitude for dogs, printed on Favini Shiro Echo, a 100% recycled paper, and running to around 82 pages. Issue two featured Cloud7 founders Petra, Matti, Otto, and Freddy, Spanish greyhound rescue organisation Yo Galgo, and animal photographer Fotografia Muy Animal, among others. The magazine has been stocked by STACK Magazines, LOREM (not Ipsum) in Zurich, and Lambwolf Collective, which produced a limited digital edition in collaboration with the magazine.
In a world overflowing with dog content on social media, dog + human makes the case for something slower, more considered, and more permanent: stories about dogs and the humans who love them, printed on paper, designed to be kept.
