Since the summer of 2000, dérive - Zeitschrift für Stadtforschung has been published quarterly in Vienna as an interdisciplinary venue for urban study. Architecture, urban and landscape planning, spatial planning, and fine arts are among the subjects studied, as are geography, sociology, political and media studies, and philosophy. Global issues are handled in a local setting, with the goal of providing insights into present urban development.
