interlope

Language:

France

"Interlope" implies "something suspicious, anything that arouses suspicion" in French. It is the word coined by a neighbor of the editorial staff to describe persons who visited them and whose excess and freedom he despised. It is also the editorial line of this magazine focusing on the creative edges. INTERLOPE aspires to be the meeting place between dissident viewpoints and fresh perspectives, with musicians choosing the shade to the mud, authors without stated alibis, and photographers without lenses and hampered by strobes. INTERLOPE imagines itself to be in constant flux and says that it is uninterested in anything other than trustworthy, initialed, irreproachable, and upstanding morality.
