The magazine promotes talent and points out exhibitions, as well as creating a meeting place for the photographic community in Berlin. Many photographers use this as a springboard into galleries. Quarterly, "brennpunkt" is published in black and white, is non-commercial, and has a circulation of 2000 copies. The magazine has more than 600 subscribers, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York or major photo galleries in Tokyo, Moscow, and Helsinki.
