TOILETPAPER is a picture-based magazine launched in 2010 by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. 'Toiletpaper' has constructed an universe with murky tales and a troubled imagination since its inaugural edition in June 2010. It blends commercial photographic jargon with twisted narrative tableaux and surrealistic visuals. As a consequence, the publication is a work of art in and of itself, challenging the constraints of the contemporary art market by its accessible form as a magazine and its vast dissemination.
