FIELDNOTES is a publishing initiative established by artists located in Newham, east London. We publish a print journal twice a year and provide public seminars, radio broadcasts, screenings, and readings. FIELDNOTES, which was founded in 2020, strives to encourage and support non-conforming creative activities that pioneer new cultural forms.
There is always a third item between two known things. We are interested in everything that exists between translations and transitions, friendships and partnerships, works-in-progress, merging genres, and poetic innovation approaches. Our goal is to offer a testing ground for ideas and research, as well as a place for experimental modes and new prototypes.
