A group of artists with the same name founded SPRING in 2004 in Hamburg. Including comics, illustration, free drawing, and more, since then the anthology has been published every year.
SPRING is non-commercial and self-managed. From its inception, the group consisted exclusively of women and has become a solid, influential network in Germany for female illustrators. The magazine has already showcased the talent of 40 female artists from Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, and New York, among others.
