The British translator Daniella Shreir, who translated the memoirs of Belgian director Chantal Akerman, a pioneer of feminist cinema, into English, founded the feminist film journal Another Gaze as an online magazine in 2016, shortly before the MeToo movement sparked a broad discussion about power relations, particularly in the film industry. Another Gaze has been published in print since 2018.
