After more than 60 years, Poetry Northwest is dedicated to publishing the finest in contemporary poetry, particularly writing that is ready to take chances and push readers to the emotional and intellectual limits of what poetry can achieve. The magazine is edited and published on the Pacific Rim, adjacent to the Canadian border, and smack dab in the middle of a 10,000-year-old site of intense human migration. Poems, visual arts, and cultural commentary are orchestrated to bring to the printed page a robust awareness and investigation of this complex life.
